Everything could be Different

What if we would design desirable futures again? „Everything could be Different – a call for optimistic narratives“ is an act of care: a spatial five-course meal is my way to remind my colleagues of our responsibility to aim for positive change, to bring back perspective on the menu.

This master thesis (Oslo National Academy of the Arts) in the field of design is an immersive installation that takes its guests through a sequence of five spaces. Each space is dedicated to a part of the narrative: to let the dreamless sleep implode, to cleanse yourself from fears about the future, and to dare to dream big again.

A Taste of Architecture

A Taste of Architecture is an experimental approach to make architecture experienceable through the taste buds. It serves as a playful guide to strengthen the connection between resident and home by consciously using the human senses. The hypothesis is that a conscious engagement with the structural substance strengthens the connection between the dwellers and the dwelling and, in the best case, increases well-being at home.

A Taste of Architecture is my thesis work (Vienna University of Technology) in the field of architecture and it comprises of three essential parts:

1.  getting to know and to respect your home;
2. a dive into the senses of smell and taste;
3. a conceptual architecture recipe book.

Save-ing Spaces

The research project SAVEing SPACES, lead by Marlene Wagner (TU Wien), aims at activating transdisciplinary higher education as a field of research. As safe, physical, digital and social space of learning the project hopes to contribute to critical exchange and enable students and lecturers to collectively test theories, formats and tools in the new (not) normal, to learn and think learning in and for uncertainty and unsettling times.

Our work was published under the title „After the pandemic is before the pandemic“ in the publication „Stories of Situated Pedagogies in Architecture and …“ by the Istanbul Technical University.
